Where can I Find My Fitbit model

Fitbit can be an essential part of your life.

Given the wide variety of features that are available on the Fitbit manufactured trackers it is no surprise to see the dependability of common people on these. You lose it once, you can lose it all. For sure, before written remark could seem like a good joke to you. Consider the amount of data your Fitbit tracker collects in an hour and how it shapes the insights. Now imagine just how much you can lose just within one hour of losing your Fitbit.

I'm not overstating it, but results can be catastrophic. In which case it should be your number one priority to find your lost Fitbit smartwatch if you can't find it on you. More so since they can be pretty expansive and the longer you will wait the less your chances will get to see them back on your hand.

Information You're Finding!

You can find your Fitbit by searching for it where you lost it, using the location services to ensure your Fitbit is on and near your phone, or by the aid of third-party finder app like Find My Fitbit.

Consider this case: You were about to leave for your hiking trip but before you could do it, you decided to go to the bathroom so you took your Fitbit off. There was no particular reason for this action as all Fitbits can be worn in shower, however as you felt like this would be better you just did it. After two hours later when you comes back you see your Fitbit is gone.

You ask your spouse and children and all of them tells you they haven’t seen your tracker. Your flight is about to leave in two hours and now you are Fitbit less with no clue what to do, or how to find your way back to your lost Fitbit.

Our Question to you: What will you do next?

Easy answer is that you will try to find it, you will not leave without it. You shouldn’t leave without it. Fitbit can come very handy in the hilly terrain perhaps not more than dedicated Garmin tactical watches, but Fitbit can hold their own. However, the better answer is you will follow the steps suggested by both Fitbit and the experts to find your lost tracker.

Go Back Where You Lost Fitbit

First and probably the most easy step you can take in finding your lost Fitbit is to trace your steps. Force your mind to remember where you went. Go back there and began a deep search sighting of your tracker. Push over the sofa. Pull the bedsheet. Fitbit trackers can be very easy to stay hidden from plane sight. Especially if you have the likes of Inspire 3 or Luxe. So keep looking. Don’t stop. Ask for help from your family, your kids, anyone you can find.

It should be noted that if you have lost your Fitbit tracker outside, it will be advisable to look for CCTV camera. If you find any where you think you lost your Fitbit tracker, try to get the footage from it. Analyze and see if – perhaps – someone picked it up while you were gone.

Check Your Phone For Last Sync

Second step that you can take is to open your Fitbit application and then head to the section where details are updated timely about the Sync frequency. All Fitbit trackers regardless of which and what series they belongs to are updated through the mobile phone they are connected too. Many functionalities even something as insignificant as time is piggy backed from mobile phone.

So, through the use of your Fitbit app you can find out if your lost Fitbit tracker is still updating with your phone. If it would be then it will mean that your Fitbit is both charged (it is still On) as well as near your phone. According to official Fitbit press release your tracker should be within the 30 meters radius of your phone for the both to work together.

Go For The Third Party Finder App

Third option in our quiver is to make use of third party applications for finding the lost Fitbit. Since there is no Find My equivalent in Fitbit utopia our options rest in the hands of the third-party applications. Which means that if you had not installed it before then you could say goodbye to this option. However, if you had then you can use it find your way back pretty easily.

As for those who are reading this post tightly clutching on to their Fitbit trackers, do this if you are on the Android bandwagon install the Bluetooth Finder app on your phone. While for my friends with iPhone in the hand (very unlikely) but for those you should download the LightBlue Explorer.

There are other options too. For instance the Find My Fitbit is very famous for using in cases like this. Although, I do believe a notice should be given and it is that this is not an official solution presented by Fitbit itself. But more of a makeover.

Use Bluetooth Tracker

Honestly this is more of a precaution you can take, but if you are those who had already taken it and installed a tracker into your Fitbit tracker. Something like AirTag then I don’t think I even need to tell you what to do. All you would have to do is find the location of the tracker you attached with your lost Fitbit tracker and voila it will show you the location.

It should be noted that this way of finding a lost Fitbit tracker or any tracker is the only possible way in which you can find your lost device even if it would’ve lost the battery long ago. While, not many people understands it, but it is very important for finding a lost device (even if it is Apple Watch which has like the ideal solution in place to track the lost pairs) that your smartwatch or smartphone doesn’t run out of battery. Because once it will do, the Bluetooth signal will be lost and even in your Find My app (if you have iPhone and you are trying to find Apple Watch) you will only be able to see the last known location.

Special Case Of Find My Fitbit Inspire 2

Fitbit Inspire 2 is the only Fitbit tracker which comes with tilt application. Or has the support and this opens the avenue for it to be easily found from the tilt application. If you have just got the Inspire 2 we will suggest that you make sure your device has this application installed and onboarded. As for those who had it installed and now they have lost their Fitbit Inspire 2 follow these steps:

  • On your phone, open the Tile app.
  • Tap Inspire 2thenFind. If the Tile app finds your tracker, your tracker vibrates.
  • When you find your tracker, tap Done in the Tile app on your phone.

In the case when our tracker won’t be nearby. View Location History or turn on the option to be notified when your tracker is detected on the Tile network.

Tips To Not Lose Your Fitbit In First Place

Always ensure that your Fitbit is securely attached to your wrist with a well-fitting strap or band. Some Fitbit smartwatches also offer locking mechanisms for the straps. We will suggest that you take a look for these.

Additionally, consider using accessories like watch clips or straps with built-in tracking devices to add an extra layer of security. Using these measures will also allow you to explore different ways of wearing a Fitbit, believe me there are many. Not to mention this way, even if the watch slips off your wrist, it remains attached to your person.

Tips To Not Lose Your Fitbit In First Place

However, remember that the effectiveness of these measures may vary depending on the specific smartwatch model and the features it offers. Therefore, always consult the user manual or manufacturer’s guidelines for instructions on setting up and using anti-loss features. Developing good habits, such as checking for your smartwatch regularly and being mindful of its location, can also contribute to minimizing the risk of loss.
