How To Change Fitbit Weather To Fahrenheit

If you live in the US or anywhere near it you might be more familiar with the Fahrenheit unit for temperature, and that's okay. Although I was born in UAE and I've lived my life quite far from the shores of the imperial system (used in the US) I'm familiar with it, and how non-familiarity for our fellow Americans can be a hassle.

Hence to put the mind at ease and eyes at rest we are going to teach you today how you can change the unit on your Fitbit trackers from Celsius to Fahrenheit.

“Fitbit Is Showing Temperature In Celsius

For those of us who are accustomed to fear of the 50 on the scale (as it feels like we’re boiling) for our friends from the other side of the Pacific, it’s a cold day, just a normal cold day. So their confusion is understandable when their Fitbit is showing them 35 on a hot summer day. I wouldn’t want to wake up and see 135 something on my screen, it will surely give me a heart attack.

So here is what we can do, before we do anything, it is essential to know which Fitbit model we have in our hands. You see not every Fitbit supports the weather application. For your ease, we’ve made the list to find your device.

  • Fitbit Charge 3, Charge 4, and Charge 5.
  • Fitbit Inspire 3
  • Fitbit Ionic
  • Fitbit Versa, Versa 2, Versa 3, Versa 4, Versa Lite
  • Fitbit Sense, Sense 2
  • Fitbit Luxe

All of them have or can have the weather application installed in them.

Do This To Change Your Fitbit From Celsius To Fahrenheit!

Follow these ten steps to quickly change the unit on your Fitbit Celsius to Fahrenheit!

Step-10

Open The Fitbit Application and tap on your Account Picture or DP (whatever you like to call it). From there, you must scroll down and find the ‘App Settings.’ Once you find that click on it.

Click on App Settings here and you will be under the niche bottom of your Fitbit smartwatch. Keep in mind things vary with each Fitbit device. Hence it is essential not to get lost.

Step 2

Under the App Settings, you will see the following options. Since we are here to change the Units of Temperature, we will need to click on it.

Scroll down and you will see the Temperature Section. You would do that by clicking on what you desire to see given that it’s Fahrenheit we want for our Fitbit trackers we will click. But keep in mind it could be vice versa as well.

We are at the halfway point. To ensure our Fitbit trackers show the Fahrenheit scale, we still need to do one more thing and to do it, you would have to go back to this screen. Once there click on the device you want to see the change into. In our case, it is Fitbit Versa 3

Tap on the Gallery Option. We need to find the right settings and this is what will lead us there.

Keep scrolling down till you see the Weather button. It will be marked with a bit of yellow sun.

After you’d have tapped on the Weather symbol this screen will show up. From here you’d need to go to settings.

Once again there will be a Temperature Section. Navigate to it and choose the scale you want to see. We will choose Fahrenheit since this is what we want. You can also go for Celsius.

To make sure our changes reflect on the Fitbit Tracker we would need to force Sync the Tracker. As the data is transferred between the Fitbit and Mobile Phone in a periodic phase, our updated settings will not come into effect unless we sync it.

Want Fitbit Weather On Screen

This is something that Fitbit should’ve added by now but alas there are so many things(airplane mode, fall detection, sleep sensitivity) that could’ve been improved with Fitbit attention. Either way, if you want to see Temperature on your Fitbit watch face you can always download a clock face from the Fitbit store.
